Bluesinlondon.com was started in 2005 as an attempt to snatch blues music back from the dreary sports-guitar cliche it had become. As a logical extension of this mission, we've set up Bluesinlondon Records to put out some of the great new attempts at understanding how roots inspired music can continue to evolve and to have something to say about life now.

Our first releases from artists who, although from different continents and with widely divergent styles, share an acknowledgment of traditional forms without slavishly adhering to them, as well as the desire to engage the contemporary world on its own terms.
